As we enter the New Year, we want to take a moment to thank you for being with us in 2013. In addition, we look forward to working with you in 2014. Last year, we recommitted to our clients to provide the highest quality, ethical and timely legal advice to religious organizations, financial institutions and businesses throughout the United States. And we commit ourselves again to these principals and becoming the leading law firm that banks, businesses and religious organizations look to provide guidance in complex litigation, general counsel and land use matters throughout the nation. This will occur by staying with our time honored values:
We act with integrity and provide honest, timely and ethical legal advice.
We listen to our clients, keep them informed of our actions on their behalf and tell our clients what they need to know even when it is not what they want to hear.
We tithe a percentage of our profits and devote substantial resources to volunteer activities.
We will share ideas, information, best practices and people and accept centralized decision making by implementing decisions made in the best interest of the firm.
We will treat each other with respect and place no unreasonable demands on one another.
So what does 2014 hold for us? We will be publishing the first complete book on Religious Land Use and creating website focused on the issues. In addition, we will continue to speak at conferences, webinars and will blog on religious land use issues as they arise in the New Year. Moreover, we will litigate, and continue to litigate, religious land use cases throughout the United States.
We will also embrace our new location in Detroit, Michigan by working with property owners and municipal leaders on land use and zoning issues in the City. We will continue to work with our technology companies as general counsel and provide topical, logical and cutting edge advice to sustain and grow our technology clients. And we will continue to grow with our banking clients working hand in hand to develop business.
We thank you for working with us and look forward to a great year in 2014.
