Commercial litigation attorney John Stoddard joins Dalton & Tomich

Detroit—December 1, 2021—Detroit-based land use, business and denominational trust law firm Dalton & Tomich ispleased to welcome attorney John Stoddard to the firm as a partner. Daniel Dalton, co-founder of Dalton & Tomich, announced Stoddard’s arrival.

Joining Dalton & Tomich most recently from a Detroit-area corporate litigation firm, Stoddard possesses nearly 30 years of legal experience, including roles as litigation manager for a publicly traded finance company, managing attorney, and partner for firms throughout Michigan that represent financial institutions, court-appointed receivers, and bankruptcy trustees. At Dalton & Tomich, he will focus his practice on banking, finance, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation, in addition to the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act (RLUIPA)and trust clause litigation.

Stoddard holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Albion College. Before returning to his native Michigan in 1999, he practiced law in Indiana for several years. He is admitted to practice law in Michigan and Indiana and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association.

Stoddard resides with his family in Plymouth, Michigan.
